Call for Small Projects to mainstream Nature-based Solutions in the Mediterranean
The Mediterranean Biodiversity Consortium (MBC) launches a Call for Small Projects aimed at strengthening biodiversity protection and people’s living conditions through Nature-based Solutions (NbS).
This call is part of the MBC’s RESCOM project. The initiative seeks to empower Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in six Mediterranean countries: Albania | Italy | Montenegro | Morocco | Tunisia | Türkiye.
Through this call, one project from each country will receive a grant of €20,000 to implement NbS, designed to boost the social and environmental resilience of vulnerable ecosystems. The small projects will focus on innovative and replicable solutions that address ecological and socio-economic challenges while engaging national and local stakeholders.
This Call for Small Projects represents a new opportunity for CSOs to take part in protecting one of the world’s most biologically diverse and fragile regions.
The selected small projects are expected to begin by June 2025 at the latest. Interested applicants must submit their proposals by December 8, 2024, at 11:59 PM CET.
